Art with a touch of instant coffee

For many years, I’ve found joy in working with mixed media on calico, captivated by how beautifully the materials blend. My journey took an unexpected turn when a coffee spill during my fine art diploma exam felt like a disaster; I thought I had failed! After a moment of anxiety, I took a deep breath and decided to embrace the mess. Remembering the saying, “everything happens for a reason,” I used the coffee-stained paper to create something new—and I ended up passing with triple distinction! This experience ignited my passion for mixed media, and I’m excited to announce that in 2025, I’ll be launching a new collection inspired by mental health, reflecting my creative journey and personal growth.
Most of the artwork showcased below draws from my explorations of London’s architecture. Traveling around the city, sketching, and connecting with fascinating people brought together two of my greatest loves: creativity and conversation. It’s incredible how these experiences recharge my spirit, especially during lonely times when I crave an outlet.
Using willow charcoal, instant coffee, and occasionally a splash of acrylic, I let my paintings evolve organically. When I focus less on the end result, the process becomes a joyous journey of discovery. I am always seeking new sources of inspiration, with the hope of inspiring others along the way. I look forward to sharing my new projects in 2025. Thank you for visiting my website and for your interest in my work!
